The premier of the much talked about movie ‘A Common Man’, starring Academy award winner Sir Ben Kingsley and Ben Cross, which was shot entirely in Sri Lanka, will have its premiere at the prestigious Laemmle Music Hall Cinema in Beverly Hills, California on 15 March.
Among the invitees for the premiere are many celebrated movie personalities in Hollywood. This is a tremendous honour for the cinema industry of Sri Lanka. It is hoped that this ‘first’ will be followed by other Sri Lankan films in the future. Chandran Rutnam, the writer, director and Mano Nanayakkara, the producer must be commended for this singular achievement.
The movie co-stars Ben Cross (Chariots of Fire and Far Pavilions), Patrick Rutnam, James Koch (son of popular singer Alston Koch), Numaya Siriwardena, Wilson Guneratne, Ashan Dias, Sando Harris, Wilman Sirimanne, Jerome de Silva, Dushyanth Weeraman, Veena Jayakody, Mohammed Adamally, Kian O. Grady and Teddy Vidyalanakara.
‘A Common Man’ is distributed worldwide by Myriad Pictures of Hollywood.
