Hilton Colombo Residences announces its celebrations for Mother’s Day on 11 May 2014. An exquisite buffet brunch will be held by the poolside restaurant, Verandah Bistro; the restaurant has been revamped with new interior, and boasts of both indoor and alfresco dining options.
Mothers dine for free and stand a chance to win a full day spa treatment at Ramani Fernando salons. The kids’ activities during the brunch would include face painting, a bouncing castle and access to the children’s play area. The buffet brunch will cater to both children and parents with an exquisite offering of Appetisers, Soup Station, Carver’s Station, Hot Buffet, Grills and Mediterranean Corner.
Delicacies such as Cured Salmon, Capers & Horseradish, Fresh Oyster Bar with Condiments, Tuna Salmon Sashimi with Condiments and Waldorf salad with Apples, Raisins, and Candied Walnuts will be a few of the ‘appetisers’.
On the Carver’s Table Slow Roasted Pork Roulade and Salt Crusted whole Modha fish are not to be missed.
Fresh on the Grill will be favourites such as Fresh Mussels Cooked in White Wine, Lagoon Prawns, Pesto Chicken, and Beef Steak. The Indian corner will offer Garlic & Butter Naan, Tandoori Chicken and Fish Tikka.
The Mediterranean corner will consist of Chicken Shawarma, a selection of pastas, fussily, spaghetti, ravioli and risotto that will be made to order. Tempered Suwandal Rice, Negombo Lagoon Crab Curry, Black Chicken Curry, Green Bean & Cashew Curry and Tempered Manioc will be offered in the Sri Lankan section. The buffet will be priced at Rs. 2,400 nett per person; children between the ages of 6 and 12 will dine for half the rate and children below 6 years dine for free.
