Great prizes for best advice on Father’s Day from OCTA

In celebration of Father’s Day (June 19th) OCTA is inviting all children of all ages to take part in a special promotion called “words of wisdom” and win great gifts for their fathers. The promotion, from 15 to 19 June, requires participants to share words of wisdom passed down by their fathers. These messages must not exceed 50 words and should be posted on the OCTA Facebook page with the hashtag #OCTAdadsbestadvice before June 19. 

Three lucky winners will be chosen on the 19th by an independent panel of judges and the winners will be announced on the OCTA Facebook page on Sunday June 20. 

OCTA is Sri Lanka’s only homegrown brand that manufactures top-of-the-range smart devices including the rare T700M 7-inch tablet, the 9-inch 970G Tablet, and the OCTA Nero and Jazz smartphones. OCTA is a subsidiary of the EWIS Group with a state-of-the-art factory in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota. 

Winners of the #OCTAdadsbestadvice promotion will win fantastic prizes. The first prize will be the OCTA tablet. The second winner gets the latest OCTA Nero smartphone powered by a MTK 6735P Quadcore processor and 2150 mAh removable battery. It has 16 GBs of internal memory (expandable up to 32GB) and a 2GB RAM. The display is a 5-inch 720p resolution LCD screen and the device weighs about 280g. It has an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie camera. In addition, it has all the connectivity options one would expect in 2016, with 4G LTE (dual SIM compatible), Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. Additionally, OCTA will be personalising each phone with a specially engraved message for the receiver of this phone.
