Renowned menswear specialist Fouzul Hameed recently presented ‘Envoy Concept 2017’, at an exclusive and high profile gathering that took place at Galle Face Hotel. The fourth edition of the showcase was held under the theme ‘infini8’ and featured all of the latest local and global fashion trends and styles in the menswear category that are forecasted for 2017. ‘Envoy Concept’ is the only showcase of its kind in Sri Lanka and the entire event was produced according to the highest international standards.
The show was attended by business leaders, dignitaries, fashion enthusiasts and members of the media who all gave glowing reviews of the showcase, the collections featured, the show’s dynamic choreography and its overall success. Conceptualised by Fouzul Hameed who has established a strong reputation as one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic and revered fashion consultants, the ‘Envoy Concept’ show has become the country’s most anticipated menswear fashion showcase and is heralded as a top high fashion and lifestyle event, that presents complete and comprehensive clothing solutions for men.
The ‘infini8’ showcase featured a total of eight distinct collections that were inspired by the essence of liberty and elegance that are both quintessential to achieving effortless style. The Liberty, Indigo and Linen Inspiration collections were featured first and were followed by the Houndstooth, British and Earth Inspiration collections. The Street in Milano, Nationals and Ceremonial collections then followed. For the very first time this year, the ‘Roseavelt by Envoy’ Premium collection for ladies was unveiled; it featured women’s clothing that gave audiences a glimpse of the elegant and stylish ladies collections that will be presented in the future.
Sleek sophistication and elegance were consistently part of each collection, which comprised the finest fabrics and embellishments as well as the latest cuts and designs from around the world. Each piece featured in the show was created using both age-old tailoring techniques and the latest technology to achieve a final look and feel that had an impeccable finish. The collections featured at the show embraced the latest international trends and will be pitched to both local and global buyers around the world.

As serving society has always been a core value of the Hameedia Group, the ‘Envoy Concept 2017’ featured a variety of fundraising initiatives that supported the ‘My Friend’ project. The project is powered by the Sri Lankan cricket captain Angelo Mathews, who is the Brand Ambassador. All proceeds from the show went to educate children in need across the country through the ‘My Friend’ Foundation. This year, several partners that specialise in men’s retail as well as many lifestyle brands, also came on board to support the showcase. These partners included Philips – grooming partner, Dialog – communication partner, Pro – shoe care partner, adidas – the sportswear partner, Vision Care – eye care partner, Colombo Jewellery Stores – accessory partner, Exclusive Lines – Official men’s fragrance partner, EZY corporations (Official distributor of HP) – technology partner, while Galle Face Hotel stepped forward as the show’s hospitality partner.
