Once again popular retail clothing chain Fashion Bug, which is also one of Sri Lanka’s largest retail clothing chains, has been recognised for its achievements by being awarded the most popular website in Sri Lanka under the Advertising & Marketing Category for the year 2015.
This recognition which was awarded by Bestweb.lk is a unique and innovative competition organised by the LK Domain Registry. Since its inception in 2009, this has been a highly successful competition which has been received with much enthusiasm from all participants.
This year too, more than 600 entries were received by the judging panel for selection and the web sites were judged on creativity, quality of graphic design, artistry, technological expertise and the quality of the content made available to the user.

“www.fashionbug.lk has been a very active site since its inception and is being continuously monitored by Company experts in order to update information about our new products, offers, campaigns, etc., whilst being continuously modified to make it user friendly to our customers,” said Subian, who expressed his pleasure at receiving the award. “In fact in 2013 Fashion Bug won the Silver award for the best website and we are very pleased to have made it to the top this year.”
Subian expressed his gratitude to their loyal customers who have patronised them over the years and their staff who he claimed to be the cornerstone of the company’s growth and expansion.
Fashion Bug have been in the apparel industry for more than 21 years now and have been the recipients of many awards both locally and internationally during the past decade, the most recent being the Platinum Dealer Award from Rainco Industries and the ‘Best Key Account Partner’ by Triumph International .
The company is also the proud recipient of the International Star Award for Quality which is one of the most sought after accolades in the realm of business and quality management worldwide, presented by the Business Initiative Directions, Geneva, Switzerland.
Fashion Bug was founded in 1994 in Bandarawela with a seven-member team, the first shop being a mere 500 square feet in Bandarawela town. The brainchild of Founders Rizal Subian, Ashan Subian and A.C.M. Thariq, today it has evolved into a household brand that boasts of 16 outlets islandwide.
