Murder is on the menu at the Mount Lavinia Hotel as it partners with the Annix Group to present the fourth in a series of VIP events. The event will take place on 29 November at the Empire Ballroom, Mount Lavinia Hotel. The colonial style hotel with its old world charm makes it the perfect setting for this 1920s based dinner theatre – Murder on the Orient Express. Colombo VIP Night Producer Latika Alok said: “This is a dinner theatre with a difference as it is interactive. The evening offers a unique form of entertainment where the guests are invited to solve the murder by piecing together evidence from a clue pack provided and also by interrogating the suspects as they visit their tables during dinner.” Mount Lavinia Hotel Group General Manager Bazeer Cassim stated: “We are proud that the internationally acclaimed Murder on the Orient Express makes its debut in Sri Lanka at the legendary Mount Lavinia Hotel, supported by the dynamic Colombo VIP night.” It begins with cocktails, when the guests will be part of the crime scene and action while being transported to a world of royalty, spies, traitors and political intrigue. As guests wine and dine the murder mystery will unfold during the course of the evening. The strangest characters, played by experienced overseas actors, are stabbed, shot or poisoned in the most entertaining way. Guests will be greeted to a reception hosted by Grape Expectations - Favourite International, followed by a formal sit-down malt-infused pairing dinner. An exclusive door gift will be provided by TRUNK for each VIP llady. The official airline for the event is SriLankan Airlines. As the theme is 1920s, those attending the event are encouraged to take the opportunity to dress up and stand a chance to win a prize for the best dressed couple. Table prizes for the most entertaining solutions will be given. A special drawing room will be created for after-dinner beverages to continue the festivities into the early hours, including dancing to the music of a live DJ. Tickets for the event are available at Rs. 8,000 per person. Early booking is encouraged to avoid disappointment as tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door.  Tickets can be bought from TRUNK, Cinnamon Grand Hotel or by calling the reservation hotline 0772409299. Participating sponsors will be profiled and updated on the Ladies VIP Night Facebook page www.facebook.com/ladies.vip.night.colombo
