DFCC Bank, in its efforts to celebrate the spirit of the season, has been very active in December, adding to the festive ambience in Colombo.
The bank partnered ‘Tourism Fest 2016’, which was held at Arcade Independence Square from 21-23 December.
The highly anticipated seasonal event organised by the Ministry of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs was inaugurated on 21 December by Sri Lanka Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe together with Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs Minister John Amaratunga and the Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, in the presence of VIP guests, Members of Parliament and distinguished dignitaries.
DFCC Bank also sponsored the installation of the venue’s Christmas tree.
The inauguration ceremonies on each of the days that followed were attended by Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure Harin Fernando and Minister of Special Projects Dr. Sarath Amunugama.
Tourism Fest 2016 featured four days of Christmas-themed fun and entertainment including performances by carolers, bands, DJs and musicians. Festive games and activities were also scheduled throughout the period to entertain and brighten up the holiday season for everyone visiting the city during the holidays.

DFCC Bank also decorated the Galle Face Roundabout, adding to the festive lights and sights around the Galle Face area.
