‘Closeup’, the oral care brand for the youth, from Unilever, organised the ‘Closeup Red Hot Valentine’s Party’ at the Excel World. This event was the Closeup way of building relationships with their target group and rewarding them for choosing Closeup over the past year.
With games and a musical show featuring Bathiya and Santhush, Dushyanth Weeraman, Lahiru Perera, Centigradz, and local celebrities such as Saranga Disasekara and Roshan Ranawana along with many others, the party attracted around 350 couples. Throughout the event there were ‘Closeup fresh points’, a freshness centre for participants to experience the freshness and confidence given by Closeup.
“We have been dating for the past five years, the Closeup Red Hot party is the best Valentine’s Day activity we have done as a couple. We are grateful to Closeup for giving us this opportunity to enjoy each other’s company in a romantic setting,” said Dilhani and Nishantha from Horana. Commenting on the brand and its developments, Manojee Dabare, Category Head for Oral Care, Unilever Sri Lanka, said: “Closeup, being the first mass market oral care gel in Sri Lanka, is all about giving youth the confidence to get closer to one another. We are delighted to celebrate the first year anniversary of Closeup in Sri Lanka on Valentine’s Day. Within this one year, the confidence with regard to the brand has grown, with a Facebook fan base of 36,000 to date.”
