A mere effort to make her not-so-yummy mug of milk into something enjoyable turned Director of Cartoon Kids Ishfa Nawaal into the creator of Choco Luv! The spoon of Nutella added to the milk opened the doors to a world of milkshakes…

When Cartoon Kids’ shopping arcade was looking for a refreshment parlour, Choco Luv came into being, making chocolate lovers feel that their dreams had turned into a reality.

With a wide selection of crazy combinations of chocolates with ice cream, backed by Ferrero and Cargills Magic, the Choco Luv café was opened on 18 March 2011. An instant success among both young and old, Choco Luv turned out to be a ‘the’ place for milkshakes!

Soon Choco Luv started its delivery service and brought your favourite milkshake to your doorstep, be it at the comfort of your home or to enjoy with your buddies at office. Next Choco Luv opened a takeaway outlet for its young chocolate lovers at Thalakotuwa Gardens, targeting several international schools. What better way to refresh yourself after a long day at school? Then, Choco Luv went outdoors, serving milkshakes at school fairs, carnivals and sports events.

The Choco Luv team has spread its wings and now an exclusive café has been open at Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7. Here’s a place where chocolate lovers are going to have a truly chocolaty experience… with specially wrapped choco hampers and gift wrapping services available as well.

The Choco Luv indoor café now takes chocolate lovers on a journey through the history of chocolates; the cocoa and cinnamon trees planted outside in association with Ferrero Lanka will be a rare sight for the people in Colombo, the antique photograph of the first cocoa tree planted in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, is also an attraction at the café. Your moments spent will be a learning experience while you watch a video on the history of chocolates, with useful information all around you.

The variety of milkshakes, sizzling shakes and chocolaty desserts available on the menu will be ever increasing Ferrero Fantasy, Nutty Nutella (using the ingredients Ferrero Chocolates and Nutella), Oreo Delight and the Triple Magic shake are some of the famous milkshakes also available in a choco buddy pack for the little kids with a kinder Joy egg and a badge of your choice free, the hot shakes include my deepest darkest secret, sizzling moments with Nutella and Oreo Luv at first sip to name a few.

Desserts include fruitilicious combinations of fruits and Nutella combinations like Eden’s Love Portion, Sensational Strawberry and Heaven Slices… the new café is going to be full of surprises for the chocolate lovers who will realise Choco Luv is not just a milk shake café but a café where all your chocolate cravings will be met.
