Ceylon Continental Hotel reaches peak of festivity

Ceylon Continental Hotel’s Christmas celebration will start on the night of 24 December. This will include a plush six course gourmet dinner to bring the festive season to its peak, from 7-10 p.m. at the Emerald restaurant. The atmosphere will compliment the setting with a warm glow, enforcing a suave ambiance to fit the season.

The dinner priced at Rs. 2,200 will include delicious journey towards the luxurious main courses in store, one could choose the fillet mignon grilled to mouth watering perfection, lanced with liver pate to induce a pinnacle of satisfaction or the traditional honey glazed roast turkey with trimmings to add to your seasonal craving.

An assortment of delicious festive vegetables along with hassle back potato will also be available for the vegetarians looking to dine this season. The desserts will reflect rich prune and butter pudding, flamed with Hennessey XO, and arranged on vanilla sabayon with candid fruit preserves.

The following Sunday 25 December, Universal Brunch will take the festive brunches to a whole new level. Priced at Rs. 1,950, the brunch will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Emerald restaurant. The cuisine will include, sautéed pork chops in sherry glaze, fillet mignon a la bourguignon, Mexican chicken with cajun vegetables, spicy cuttlefish and prawns Malaysian style, white bread crumbed fish fillet and many more delicious dishes.The kids are specially treated to a variety of activities, including an opportunity to receive presents from Santa Claus. In addition to that, there will be competitions; music, and a fun filled afternoon with Barney and Dora. Usage to the swimming pool will be on offer for all the guests. The hotel’s well trained babysitters will also be available to keep the kids occupied.

The kid’s entertainment will continue on Monday 26 December, with Boxing Day lunch. The lunch will be priced at Rs. 1,650, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Emerald Restaurant. The kids are specially treated to a cup cake decorating work shop and many other activities.  Children below six years will be able to dine for free, while children between ages six and 12 will be charged 50% of the rate, for all the season’s food promotions and prices will be excluding service charge and Government taxes.
