Pond’s, one of the world’s renowned face care brands unveiled its revolutionary innovation, Pond’s BB + all in one cream to Sri Lanka at a stunningly glamorous event attended by the stars of film and drama, fashion and designing, beauty, sports and social elite, at the Cinnamon Grand, last Tuesday.

The dual purpose BB+ cream, a hybrid between a cosmetic and skin care product, offers the promise of make-up and skin care benefits in one cream, transforming your face to a spotless, flawless skin in a matter of a seconds, covering dark circles and dark spots instantly, from outside.

While being an excellent cover for the skin’s imperfections, the Gen white formula works from deep inside the skin to bring out the natural glow on the outside.

Pond’s BB+ cream also acts as a sunscreen with SPF 30 PA++ making it a complete solution to today’s women who are always on the move and yet want to be the best among the best.

The star studded event, a new discovery of a wonder cream and the amazing range of looks it could achieve, saw elegantly clad hotel stewards move with ease and grace among the audience distributing the valuable Look Book which is a Bible for women on looking their best. The book contains the entire A to Z of make up for all occasions.

A live preview of the Look Book was demonstrated on four beautiful women who are all past winners of the Miss Sri Lanka Title.

The tall graceful, figures of Stephani Siriwardena, Danielle Kerkoven, Thamara Makalande and Gamya Wijedasa, all past beauty queens of Sri Lanka, captivated the audience with different  strokes of BB+ cream creating totally different looks from the Professional, to the Party Girl, the Elegant Glamour to the Natural Glow.

16 different looks were created for these four ladies with the wonder BB+ while the two other lovely ladies, Unilever’s brand personality Pooja Umashanker and renown make-up artist from Bombay, Pallavi Symons kept up an interactive discussion about the wonder of BB+ throughout the demonstrations.

Pooja who recently began her reign with Unilever’s face, skin care and hair care products has the honour of being among the first few women ‘privileged’ to be a BB+ user.

Pooja the movie star from India hardly needs an introduction in Sri Lanka. She is a larger than life personality in our teledrama and movie industry. Making a spectacular splash on stage, engaged in lively banter about the looks being created on centre stage was Pallavi the make-up artist whose artistry has transformed many high profile personalities in the fashion and related industries in India.

“We are proud to be able to launch this product in Sri Lanka as there is a clear need for such products in the market. From the young employed women who protect their skin with a foundation on a daily basis, to women who look for a quick but effective protection plus flawlessness for morning and evening occasions, I think BB+ is the answer,” Unilever Sri Lanka Category Head, Beauty and Skin Care Sharmila Bandara said.

Pond’s understands every woman’s desire to look fabulous. Flawless skin is the first step to looking great. ‘Ponds Sri Lanka’ is the official Ponds YouTube channel where anyone can have access to the inside secrets of leading Sri Lankan and international beauty professionals. \
