A Grand Easter

With Easter just around the corner, Cinnamon Grand brings you a range of goodies including chocolate eggs, cakes, cupcakes, cake pops and cookies, all made in intricately creative designs, that make for the ideal family indulgence, a head turner on the Easter table or a gift when making a festive visit. Be it a snow white bunny atop a whipped cream cake, a chocolate shell sprouting delicate roses on a marble coated cake, a colourfully pastel rainbow ribbon cake or a bunny stuck down the rabbit hole, you can rest assured Cinnamon Grand’s team from the cake room will do justice to these unique Easter delicacies. These beautiful delights will be available at the Coffee Stop on 19 and 20 April from 10 a.m. till midnight. The Easter Carvery at Cheers Pub, from 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. and priced at Rs. 1,750 (plus taxes) will slice out the freshest of roasts with an array of accompaniments. Start off with some Easter painted egg and raisin coleslaw, Waldorf salad, assorted greens, calamari salad, cheese and sausage salad, assorted cold cuts and chicken liver pate with port jelly and melba croutons. Have the soup of the day and move on to the main meats including traditional roasted cube roll with Yorkshire pudding, grilled tomato, grilled onions, horse radish and hot mustard or roast leg of lamb with rosemary merlot jus, mint sauce, sage and onion stuffing or roast leg of pork with mustard, calvados apple sauce and pepper grilled pineapple or spit roasted chicken with pan gravy or try them all, it is Easter after all! Accompaniments such as herb roast potatoes, onion mash potatoes, green beans with almond salsa, cauliflower mornay, sweet corn and peas and ratatouille will round off the perfect meal, while decadent desserts such as raspberry roulade, Easter plums pudding, almond and apricot petivia, passion brulee cup and chocolate grand truffle offer for a fulfilling end to an egg-cellent meal! Alternatively, enjoy a lavish presentation of brunch favourites at the Taprobane restaurant, boasting everything from starters to desserts in a fine Sunday celebration.  With twelve salads, sixteen appetisers, two soups, two carvery stations, a grilled seafood counter, pasta action station, pizza counter and twenty six desserts, the buffet will lay out the best of Continental, Indian, Chinese and Sri Lanka cuisine.
