Under the patronage of the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi, the Indian Importers Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised the ‘Yog Mahotsav and Sri Lanka Luxury Spa & Wellness evening’ at the High Commission premises on 26 September.
The theme of the event was ‘Yoga & Spa’ and its focus was on the fusion of yoga and on traditional natural healing and wellness practices of Sri Lanka and India. The presentation by Spa Ceylon Luxury Ayurveda at the event brought to the limelight, Sri Lanka’s indigenous medicines and traditional natural healing practices and their benefits, while Global Yoga Alliance demonstrated the spiritual disciplines of Yoga, which focus on harmony between mind, body and soul.
High Commissioner Chitranganee Wagiswara welcoming the participants at the commencement, spoke of Sri Lanka’s indigenous medicines and applications practiced over many centuries. She further stated that “more and more people are now turning to spa therapy and Sri Lanka has become a well-known destination for visitors from world over”.
During the event, invitees had the opportunity to experience the natural healing practices of Spa Ceylon Luxury Ayurveda and Global Yoga Alliance.
Over 200 invitees, comprising members of the Diplomatic Corps, representatives from trade chambers, travel and tourism, businessmen and journalists participated in the event.
