In a bid to attract and inspire clientele from around Sri Lanka who are interested in investing in unconventional and classy marriage ceremonies, Wedding World exhibition and bridal show will be held at Waters Edge on 14 and 15 September, organisers said recently.
The exhibition and bridal show is organised by the Sri Lanka Wedding Vendors Association. The event will be held at Waters Edge in eight venues featuring 154 stalls which will showcase various wedding essentials products and brands covering all aspects including bridal dressing, wedding cars and bridal wear.
Sri Lanka Wedding Vendors Association Vice President Lakshan Perera said that Wedding World will be much different from conventional wedding exhibitions that usually taken place in the country. “This is an effort to move away from traditional wedding exhibitions to the concept of wedding carnivals to where families can come and enjoy while planning a wedding during the event. There will be a musical event alongside the bridal show. This will be a different experience to the people and that is why we chose Waters Edge, it has the perfect venues for the exhibition.”
Perera added that facilities to plan an entire wedding based on featured items fitting all aspects of a wedding will be available while special discounts and benefits will also be provided by specific stalls. Moreover a raffle draw will give away a package worth Rs. 4 million to the winning couple to help host their wedding.
All brands featured at the exhibition will be quality-checked and only the best products will be showcased at the stalls, said Sri Lanka Wedding Vendors Association President Dilum Bandara.
Waters Edge Senior Consultant Chandra Mohotti noted that wedding-based events are important since Waters Edge is specialised to host marriage ceremonies. “We have given special emphasis to Wedding World since it will highlight all marriage services provided by the hotel to couples who are interested in fashionable, unconventional weddings,” he explained.
