The Big Bad Wolf Online Book Sale returns to Sri Lanka bigger and better

The Big Bad Wolf Online Book Sale is packed to be bigger and better with an improved e-commerce website that will offer a smoother browsing experience

The most anticipated world’s biggest book sale event of the year, the Big Bad Wolf Online Book Sale, is returning to wow book lovers all over Sri Lanka, starting from 5 May until 12 May.

The second edition of the Online Book Sale was officially announced on 20 April during a press briefing that was officiated by Pro Read Lanka Ltd. Director and Big Bad Wolf Books in Sri Lanka Partner Nishan Wasalathanthri, along with the Co-Founders of Big Bad Wolf Books, Jacqueline Ng and Andrew Yap as well as Big Bad Wolf Books Sri Lanka Partner Dipak Madhavan who joined in from Kuala Lumpur via video conference. 

Wasalathanthri speaking at the press conference said: “The world’s biggest book sale returns to Sri Lanka again via online due to the unprecedented challenges brought about by the pandemic as most of the countries including Malaysia, where borders are still closed for travel. Despite these trying times, Big Bad Wolf Books wants to ensure that we continue to serve our loyal customers and fans alike by offering them the option of shopping from the safety and comfort of their homes.”

Yap said: “We are very driven by our passion for wanting to provide access to quality English books at affordable prices so that everyone in Sri Lanka can benefit from it. As we return to Sri Lanka shores for the fifth time this year via our second online book sale, we’re indeed excited to be able to reach far more people online and continue on our mission to nurture the reading habit amongst children and adults alike.”

Ng elaborated: “Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is synonymous for its epic discounts. As promised, book lovers can expect discounts up to 90%, free shipping for customers who spend a minimum net purchase of Rs. 9,000, contest giveaways and many more exciting deals. We understand that just as avid book lovers, other book and textbook users such as school children, university students, the youth, and teachers too are eagerly awaiting the start of Big Bad Wolf Book Sale to grab their reading materials.”

Apart from the various discounts given, this year’s online sale opens the Wolf fans to exciting offers –including a 10% discount for a minimum spend of Rs. 17,000.00 [capped at Rs. 1,700] limited to the first 1,000 redemptions; the “buy 2, for the price of 1” and “buy any 3 for the price of 2” promotions. 

In addition to that, Big Bad Wolf Books has partnered with Sampath Bank and TNL Radio Network to offer exclusive deals and contest giveaways. Sampath Bank credit cardholders who purchase more than Rs. 10,000.00 during the Online Sale can convert their payment transactions into a three, six or 12-month instalment plan by promptly contacting the bank to activate the scheme. 

Radio listeners of Lite87 and TNL Now will stand a chance to win 20 e-vouchers worth Rs. 1,000 each by participating in a specially organised radio contest.
