‘Thaala Mei Ruu’, the first-ever dinner theater-style musical extravaganza in Sri Lanka, marked a phenomenal success at the Balmoral Hall at The Kingsbury on 29 August.
The event marked the return of popular artistes to quench the thirst of classic music lovers following a long break which was affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
‘Thaala Mei Ruu’ featured a host of Sri Lanka’s most renowned and sensational artistes, namely Amarasiri Peiris, Anesly Malewana, Kasun Kalhara, Samitha Mudunkotuwa, Keerthi Pasquel, Nirosha Virajini, Amal Perera, Brother Charles, Jackson Anthony, Kasun Pasquel and Chethana Ranasinghe.
A select group of invitees attended the event which had been organised in accordance with standard medical guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of the participants.
