The launch and auditions of Miss Sri Lanka 2019 were held successfully in a grade scale at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel recently.
This collaborative effort of many dynamic individuals involved in the modelling industry has already created a revolutionary impact on the modelling industry. The guidance and leadership of Tharindu Lakshan who is the national director of the pageant must be applauded.
The auditions were organised in a grand scale and there were many contestants who participated with eagerness and excitement.
The lucky winner of this beauty pageant and contest will have the opportunity to represent Sri Lanka at the Miss Eco Water Universe International Contest. Thus, she will be qualified to participate to one of the most prestigious beauty contests in the world at the United States of America.
The grand finale of Miss Sri Lanka 2019 is scheduled to be held in April.
Shanith Feranando , Sandun Lakshitha (Manhunt International), Ishu Idanthota (Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Planet 2017) , Napagoda, Imaya Liyanage (Miss Earth 2014), Thilini De Silva (Official beautician of the miss Sri Lanka) , Sowmy Sabry (Mister Grand International) were among those who were present.
Organisers have already made all necessary arrangements for the mini pageants, personal development programs and many other exciting events to be held which would benefit all the contestants.
“This time we hope to collaborate with a humanitarian cause. This will change the outlook of the entire contest experience to something more noteworthy and noble. Under the purview, guidance and supervision of Tharindu Lakshan, we hope to launch a novel concept ‘Drug Free Nation with Miss Sri Lanka 2019’,” they said.
“We hope to use this concept as an effective awareness campaign to eradicate harmful drug abuse practices from the youth and the younger generation. Special awareness programs and campaigns will be launched at schools and dhamma schools,” organisers added.
