Lexco, a home appliance brand owned by DPL Lanka Holdings, recently celebrated a milestone fifth year in operations.
Navigating through the pandemic and lockdowns, Lexco has continued to provide high quality electrical appliances to its customers. Even during the travel restrictions, Lexco continued to provide doorstep delivery through selected courier services islandwide. Customers were given the opportunity to pay cash on delivery or bank transfer payments as well.
Speaking on the changes made within their operation Co-Founder/Managing Director of Lexco said, “During the lockdowns many consumers were stuck with getting high quality home appliances delivered to them. Although a few years ago these appliances were considered luxuries today a fan, rice cooker or electric kettle is a necessity.
“Lexco has built a name for itself within a short span of five years for supplying high quality equipment and we needed to make strategic changes to our business model to keep our customers happy.”
Lexco opened up their online store and also continued to take orders via a dedicated hotline. The company saw a significant amount of orders coming in especially from households where the burden of working from home or online school was not only on individuals but also on the extensive usage of appliances.
Lexco commenced operations in February 2016 and is today one of the leading suppliers of household electronics and smart living apparatus. Here in Sri Lanka, Lexco’s product range includes home theatre and speaker systems, kitchen appliances, LED bulbs and many more. A dedicated team of over 80 staff ensure stringent quality control methods, after sales service and customer management.
In 2019, Lexco took a giant leap of commencing operations in Australia and have had notable success in the smart living products category. Lexco Australia specialises in home and kitchen, living and wellness, and tech products.
