Gunawardana who is in Sri Lanka with the HMGO team from Poland for the specific purpose of introducing their products to the Sri Lankan market as well as the region, was addressing a gathering at the introduction of his HMGO range of luxury Italian leather bags and accessories at the Hilton Colombo.
Gunawardana is a highly motivated and accomplished leader within the IT managed services field, with over 20 years of diversified international experience developing and implementing global IT solutions. He has worked with several Fortune 500 companies including Xerox, HCL, Aon, to name just a few. Manufactured in Poland out of the best Italian leather, HMGO in Hema’s own words is not just a brand; “We design and build style so you can express yourself without words. Our leather goods made from the finest Italian leather are beautiful and simple in form and function and are made with artistry and craftsmanship that define style and create desire.”
In Sri Lanka for the launch were some of the HMGO team including Lalit Gupta who heads Sales, Micheal Frackowiak who heads Finance and Edita Frackowiak who is the COO of Semahead Agency which is responsible for the global marketing strategy for HMGO. HMGO’s Branding and Art Director Damian Aliberti was unable to be present due to work commitments, but his artistry was evidenced in the range of exquisite products that were on display. Born and raised in Argentina, Damian is an award-winning designer, creative and entrepreneur with a passion for people, technology and design. He has worked in TV and the advertising industry as a copywriter, art director and brand creative. He immigrated to the USA and teamed with Cartoon Network for more than a decade as a writer and artist. Later, he opened his own studio creating digital products for Nickelodeon, Adidas, Sony, Starbucks, LEGO and United Airlines.
All HMGO products are design and manufactured in Poland. “Each of our bags and leather accessories are of the highest quality with detailing and finishes of international standard, and each product has its own individual stamp and unique character. Our leather satchels, messenger bags and travel bags are an excellent example of the care and attention, which goes into each product before being shipped to various destinations.” HMGO products are all available online and here in Sri Lanka will be available at Touché, PR Gallery on Horton Place and other selected up market outlets.
The HMGO range carries over 15 designs catering to both men and women and is a stylish companion for men and women in their daily journey. “Whatever the occasion be it a business meeting, an intimate soiree, red carpet gala or a visit downtown, HMGO has something for every occasion and for every age, manufactured out of the highest quality materials and top notch European craftsmanship you can rely on,” said Gunawardana.
With regards to future plans, Gunawardana said that he will soon be launching a line of luxury sunglasses and jewellery, while the most exciting development is that he is working on a plant based leather and items manufactured from this novel and environmentally friendly material are tipped to be on the market by August this year.
