Canon expert shares latest techniques with photojournalists

Metropolitan PhotoHub Ltd., exclusive distributor for Canon cameras, recently held an exclusive workshop for photo journalists, to share latest innovations in the photography industry related to photo journalism. 

The workshop was conducted by renowned photo expert and trainer Teoh Peng Kee of former Canon Malaysia, who shared the latest trends in photography and the newest EOS R technology and its features. He trained them on modern techniques adopted in photojournalism.

The workshop was attended by photojournalists from all leading newspapers in Sri Lanka. At the workshop, the Canon EOS R was introduced to the journalists – Canon’s first full frame, mirror-less camera with the new RF mount.  The new EOS R includes a host of features including auto face tracking, real time viewing, 4k UHD recording, Canon Log Gamma, Dual pixel CMOS Sensor AF, and ability to focus in the dark down to EV6 PLUS extreme weather resistance. All useful features for the photojournalist.  Metropolitan PhotoHub is the Group’s photography arm. The company has been promoting photography for over 30 years and sharing photography experiences such as the PhotoMarathon and field shooting projects and the Kandy Esala Perehera webcasting and many more. 

Photojournalists have benefited from many of these trainings, workshops, overseas tours and field photography visits which have been organised by the Sri Lankan distributor for Canon cameras over the years.
