Born in the suburbs of Miami, Florida and raised in Anne Arundel Country, Chef Doug Dillard has been in the food and hospitality industry for 12 plus years; during which he worked his way up from a Garde Manger cook for the Renaissance Harbour Place Hotel in Baltimore’s inner harbour, to his current role as Executive Sous Chef for the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in the premier Harbour East neighbourhood.
When it comes to seafood, one cannot think of a better way to celebrate its splendour than sitting on an enchanting private beach at one of the best seafood restaurants in Sri Lanka, which is why MLH together with Chef Doug, the US cuisine extraordinaire, is bringing to you ‘Taste of Slow Food East Coast’, a delightful celebration dedicated to commemorate and share Sri Lanka’s internationally reputed, gastronomic seafood.
From promoting local food sources, to the infusion of quality local seafood with the cooking traditions used in Maryland USA seafood cuisine, we are looking forward to bringing to you the flavoursome satisfaction of a relaxing slow food dinner at the Tropical Hut, MLH, on 25 February from 8p.m. to 11p.m., prepared by our guest chef, Chef Doug from USA.
Tickets will be priced at Rs. 2350++ which, apart from the mouth-watering cuisine, entitles all guests attending this noteworthy event to a pleasant surprise through the Pre-dinner festivity of commemorating the scintillating pairing of two of the finer things of the Caribbean: aged rum plus extra cocoa blended chocolates!
This pre dinner celebration is bound to set your taste buds in tune for, undoubtedly, the most awaited seafood inspired slow food dinner this February.
