Harpo’s Restaurant and Cafes have continued to assist and support charity projects on a regular basis as part of their CSR initiative, and the Kids of the community concern centre has been encouraging them for the past five years with gifts and a tea party, especially in recognition of their education and achievements for the year rather than a festive gift. This in turn encourages them to pursue their educational goals further.
‘The festive season is a time for celebrating and also sharing the joy with so many who we care about. We share the joy, of the season for the fifth consecutive year with our annual charity project with kids of the community concern centre. It’s encouraging to see the smiling faces of the children when they celebrate the joy of the festive season,” said Harpo’s Restaurants and Cafes Managing Director Harpo Gooneratne.
This year’s event will be held at Park Street Mews, on 15 December from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., which will be combined with the arts and crafts competition conducted since September for the final winners.
All are encouraged to participate in the event by offering a contribution if desired at any one of the restaurants. The Bay Leaf, Colombo Fort Café, Park Street Mews or The Commons.
Love, celebrate and share this festive season.
