The Taj Samudra Colombo is celebrating Italy by featuring its cuisine by Chef Domenico D’imperio from Naples, Italy, at the Latitude restaurant. The buffet will be showcased till 10 June. It features much loved Italian favorites including pastas, many different kinds of breads, cheeses, hams, authentic Italian pizza, Italian wines and much more and is priced at Rs. 2,800 net per person.
On 9 June Master Chef Domenico will present an exclusive epicurean adventure featuring fine Italian ingredients. A carefully crafted delectable seven course, wine paired menu at the Steak and Grill House. It is priced at Rs. 8,900 net per person
On 10 June, the Taj Samudra will be screening an award winning, internationally renowned Italian movie – La Febbre.
Directed by Alessandro D’Alatri, one Italy’s most interesting directors – La Febbre is a comedy starring Fabio Volo and Valeria Solarino. D’Alatri comes from the world of publicity but that is not enough to explain his lavish visual dexterity. His talent is as real as the subjects he touches. This story is of a municipal land surveyor Mario Bettini, living in Cremona. La Febbre is a typical Italian movie telling a normal story, an everyday story, and to achieve it does not transcend the creation of a good plot, and a pinch of sour social critic that makes the movie very politically correct.
Italian movie will be screened at the BBQ Terrace. This event is open to all film enthusiasts and the public. Seats will be determined on first come first serve basis.
