The musicians lead by Masahiro Morita (violin), Asa Nakajima (Violin), Gentaro Sakaguchi (Viola), Hiroshi Miyasaka (Violoncello) and Eshatha J Peiris (Piano), kept the audience on the edge of their seats throughout their performance.
The stage set standards for the musicians to aspire to; they provided a platform for emerging outstanding talent, to be showcased before a discerning musical audience.
The players moved together with absolute unanimity, this was reflected in the unity of their sound. They gave a magical performance. It was inventive, engaging, moving and beautiful. The audience was glad to be apart of this stimulating and awe-inspiring concert. The evening endorsed the statement made by one of the guests, when he said, “Music sets the spirit free and allows us to connect with people.”
