Christmas is not complete without Christmas carols. The celebrations have just begun at the Hilton Colombo. Choro Calibre will sing Christmas carols at the Hilton Colombo’s Thorana Lounge from 20 to 24 December from 8 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Join in the celebrations whilst sipping your favourite cocktail or take the opportunity to try the range of tea shakes on offer along with the rest of the Christmas goodies.
Choro Calibre, a Sri Lankan youth choir, is a renowned choir consisting a group of highly talented male and female vocalists nurtured from leading school choirs in Sri Lanka. They have been singing under the leadership of Shamal De Silva and have certainly made Sri Lanka proud by competing with more than 20 choral groups around the world and winning silver and two bronze diplomas in the folk and chamber categories at the ‘Asia Cantate’ International choral festival.
The Dilmah t-bar will also have a range of festive activities from 20 to 24 December from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. during high tea. Merry An Singers will take centre stage on 20 December whilst Natasha Ratnayake will jazz things up on 21 December. Kids Christmas high tea with the Soul Sounds Academy Choir will be on 22 December and Vocal Enigma on 23 December and last but not least, the St. Benedict’s Choir will perform on 24 December. Children could also enjoy Santa’s visit from 20 to 25 December from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. in the lobby.
The t-Bar at the Hilton Colombo is open daily and will offer the finest tea with a delectable menu of gourmet treats. Every Wednesday and Friday, a high tea buffet will be presented. The venue is in demand for corporate events and private parties.
