Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo’s second largest banquet facility is the Earls Court with a capacity of 250 guests.  It is located on the first floor of the adjacent building to the main one overlooking the Beira Lake and the garden below.

With outdoor weddings all the rage, the Waterside is the hotel’s most sought after venue.A stunning garden overlooking the Beira Lake – even with minimal décor, a more magical setting is hard to find in the heart of Colombo.  The tall backlit water feature on one end of the garden can be customised to complement the theme of your wedding by changing the colour of the water circulated through it.

A unique advantage of the venue is the adjoining indoor area, Dukes Court, that opens out onto the garden, allowing food to be served indoors whilst guests enjoy the party outdoors.  The Waterside seats 400 guests comfortably.  Whilst a marquee is recommended for protection against rain, it also aids with lighting effects during late evening functions.  

The Terrace, overlooking the Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo infinity pool as well as the Beira Lake, is also a popular venue for smaller gatherings.  The hotel recommends this location for pre-event occasions such as a ‘Poruwa’ ceremony or pre-cocktails before guests withdraw to the ballroom for the main event.

The Banquet Sales Team is on hand to assist with all aspects of wedding planning, including sourcing, photographers, florists, bands, stylists and marquees.  The hotel’s own florists offer table arrangements which they are happy to enhanceat no additional costusing flowers provided by the wedding party.

Although a variety of set menus are available, the Banquet Sales Team will make recommendations and can custom design a menu to suit guests.  The expertise of theExecutive Chef and expatriate chefs from Spain, New Delhi, China and Thailand offers a diverse range of cuisine to choose from.  The hotel’s pastry chefs are also on hand to create customized wedding cakes, and have been known to create fabulous structures out of cupcakes and even out of doughnuts!
