Top line-up of speakers at fourth annual Sri Lanka CIO Summit

The fourth edition of the Sri Lanka CIO Summit to be held at Hotel Galadari on 8 March 2013 will feature a keynote address delivered by Niranjan de Silva, Director and CEO, Metropolitan Computers on ‘Delivering Business Value through IT Infrastructure and Services’.



Over the past 30 years, he has been involved in many large scale computerisation projects in Sri Lanka and also conducts communication and leadership development programs for business executives and youth.

De Silva has won the ‘The Achievers Award’ from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, Professionals Association for Outstanding Contribution to the Profession, Business and Society. A graduate in electronics engineering from the UK and with an MBA from PIM, University of Sri Jayawardenepura, he has served in many information technology forums in the country and has been an Executive Council member of CINTEC, Governing Council Member of the Asian ICT Confederation and an Executive Council Member of South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation.

Apart from the keynote session, the forum will feature by Ranjan Sinha, Regional Manager, South India, Sri Lanka and Maldives, Polycom, who will share a case study on ‘The effective way to communicate through video and save the millions spent, resulting in enhancement of productivity and efficiency at work’.

Sunil Sharma, V.P. Sales and Operations – SAARC, Cyberoam, will share his expertise on ‘Modern Day Internet Treats and Securing Enterprise Networks’. The event will also feature a team from D-Link to share their views on the IT infrastructure and services.
