This Google Business Group event is your first step
The first event on the Google Business Group Colombo’s 2014 calendar is ‘Starting a Startup’. The event will feature four speakers from Sri Lanka who have been successful tech entrepreneurs, sharing their knowledge on the vital ingredients necessary for a successful startup. The event will take place at the Disruptive Engineering Centre of the Silicon Valley based Technology Company Leapset; No.59, Flower Road, Colombo 07 on 6 February at 6 p.m.
The four speakers and their respective topics are: Leapset General Manager Rasika Karunatilake speaking on ‘Critical Steps for Entrepreneurs and Innovators’, SimCentric Chief Technical Officer Romesh Ranawana speaking on ‘Disruptive Innovation Through Research’,
zMessenger Co-Founder/CEO Jayomi Lokuliyana speaking on ‘Turning an idea into a great Business’ and Cinergix/Creately Co-Founder and CEO ChandikaJayasundara speaking on ‘Running a Lean Startup’.
Commenting on Leapset’s involvement Leapset MD Sri Lanka and SVP Engineering Shanil Fernando said, “Our origins are as a Silicon Valley Startup and we believe the only way forward for the Sri Lankan IT industry is through the development of product companies who practice disruptive innovation.
