Tech One Global and Microsoft co-host Microsoft Education Solution workshop

‘It’s Time to Build Skills for Tomorrow’ was the theme of the evening at the Microsoft Education Solution Workshop co-hosted by Tech One Global and Microsoft recently at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo.  

The audience of the Microsoft Education Solution Workshop consisted of representatives from over 50 top Education Institutions in Sri Lanka and the event was inaugurated by Yashinka Jayasinghe, Educations Program Manager for Microsoft Sri Lanka and Jason Trump, Education Director – Asia Pacific Region.

Trump began his session by taking the audience through a journey on how Microsoft has revolutionised the “learning experience” in the 21st century sharing exciting insights and statistics using real-life case studies from across the world. The audience was captivated with the possibilities presented to them in how they can use latest technology to transform their own institutions and their student’s learning experience.

The main focus of the evening was on Office 365 for Education. Trump introduced Office 365 for Education by presenting how students and teachers can communicate, create and share in the Cloud making learning so much more simple and exciting than one could imagine.

One of the main highlights of the event was the disclosure of the free academic options in Office 365 specifically designed to cater to the specific needs in the education sector. The Office 365 offering for Education delivers the power of cloud productivity to educational institutions of all sizes, helping to save time, money and more importantly free up valued resources.

The event also comprised of a session on the Benefits of Genuine software presented by Amice van der Burg-Dissanayake, License Compliance Manager, Microsoft Sri Lanka.

The academics and education decision makers present at the event were given the opportunity to build a closer network with the teams from Tech One Global and Microsoft Sri Lanka in guiding them through the journey of Microsoft Education Solutions.

The Microsoft Education Solution Workshop was conducted with the aim of uplifting the Sri Lankan education system to meet the demands of the 21st century and provide the necessary ammunition for our educators to gear our children for the future.
