Synapsys’ Mobile Banking solution M-Banx was selected for multiple awards at the National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) 2010 at the awards ceremony held recently. It was selected for a Gold Award in its competing category.
M-Banx was also hailed as the ‘Best Software Implemented on Microsoft Platform’ and was nominated to represent Sri Lanka in the Asia-Pacific ICT Awards to be held in Malaysia this month in the Financial Industry Applications category.
Synapsys is an ISO 2008 certified company providing consulting, business solutions and managed services to the financial services industry. M-Banx is Synapsys’ flagship product – ‘a branch in your palm’ mobile banking solution aimed at providing agent assisted mobile banking – and has been in live operation for more than a year.
The National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) is competition organised by the British Computer Society, Sri Lanka Section, to recognise achievements within the Sri Lankan ICT Industry.
Similar to the selection test for APICTA, NBQSA follows a set of stringent criteria for the evaluation of participant products. They include quality, innovation adherence to industry best practices.
Commenting on the achievement, Dinesh Fernandopulle, Chief Executive Officer, Synapsys Ltd. said: “We are extremely happy to have received these accolades from the Sri Lankan ICT community, recognising the effort that we put into the product and to have passed such a stringent set of criteria.”
Appreciating the effort put in by the organisers, he added: “I thank BCS for organising these awards to inspire companies like ours and the local ICT industry as a whole.”
Synapsys will showcase its winning product M-Banx at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA).
