Softserve Ltd., a company that focuses primarily on Microsoft Dynamics as its core product deployment, announced the project sign-off of another successful implementation of Dynamics NAV 2015 for Uni-Dil Packaging Ltd.
Established in 1994, Uni Dil is Sri Lanka’s leading corrugated carton manufacturer and a member of the popular Valibel Group, Sri Lanka. Uni-Dil offers a superior product range in environmentally friendly packaging that can be customised for different customers in industry sectors such as tea, rubber, ceramic, garments, food and beverages, FMCG and many other categories.
When Uni-Dil signed the contract with Softserve to implement the Dynamics NAV 2015, many challenges were put forward; to complete automation of the entire supply chain from pre-costing to delivery, to sub-contract and overhead cost allocation and tight project duration in-order to reduce the cost and enable Uni-Dil to gain the return on investment within shorter period of time. However, Softserve’s team of consultants and developers successfully made this happen within three months to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
“It is a significant achievement in terms of time, since Uni-Dil is a medium sized manufacturing company with specific requirements,” said Softserve Managing Director Mahesh Jayawardena. “Yet, we managed to complete this within the three month duration.”
The significant achievement of the project is the development and implementation of Dynamics NAV 2015 vertical for a corrugated carton manufacturing plant. “Together with the tested and tried product, the experience and knowledge we gained in the corrugated industry we can confidently repeat this NAV 2015 vertical for other companies in similar industries and can help them to streamline the business processes starting from pre-costing to shipment, he added.
This vertical is built on the features of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 extended pack, utilising the power of full NAV manufacturing process. This vertical includes the highly complicated, user driven pre-costing module for estimating the cost of production for a customer order. The same pre-costing module is used to generate finished items, Bill of materials and routers, based on user defined formulas.
Uni-Dil Packaging Chief Executive Officer Bennet Gamlath said, “As an organisation, we are confident that the appropriate choice has been made by opting for this excellent world class product, empowered by an apt partner Softserve with expertise and professionalism.”
Uni-Dil Packaging Financial Controller Dayal Weerasooriya added, “It is with great pleasure that we announce the successful implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV2015 ERP to match the requirements of our organisation to our entire satisfaction.”
