SLASSCOM to host Executive Briefing on ‘Future Outlook for Business Process Management’

Once known widely as Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), today, Business Process Management (BPM) has been referred to as a ‘holistic management’ approach to aligning an organisation’s business processes with the wants and needs of clients. BPM uses a systematic approach in an attempt to continuously improve business effectiveness and efficiency while striving for innovation, flexibility, and integration with technology.
The next SLASSCOM Executive Briefing on ‘Future Outlook for Business Process Management’ will examine the future outlook for the BPM industry.
The event will be held on 3 January from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Dialog Future World Auditorium – Excel World Entertainment Park, No. 338 T.B. Jayah Mawatha, Colombo-10.
The keynote address will be delivered by J.J. (Eric) Selvadurai – Managing Director, Europe and South Africa – WNS one of the world’s foremost experts in BPM (formerly BPO).
A panel discussion will follow involving Selvadurai, Hayleys Business Solutions International Ltd Managing Director Dr. Arul Sivagananathan, Accenture Lanka Ltd Virendra Perera, Orion Development Ltd Chief Executive Officer/Director Jeevan Gnanam, InfoMate Ltd (Moderator) Chief Executive Officer Jehan Perinpanayagam and3SG Corporation Ltd Country Manager Buddhin Gunasekara.
Key note speaker Selvadurai is based in London and brings over 29 years of experience in the business process outsourcing industry, having built multi-location operations for large organisations. Prior to assuming the role of Managing Director Europe, Selvadurai was the Chief Executive Officer of WNS Enterprise Services business and President, Global Operations, where he was responsible for setting up and rapidly growing WNS delivery centres in India and Sri Lanka to meet growing client demand. Prior to joining WNS, Selvadurai was Asia Managing Director (BPO services) of Hays plc, a world-leading specialist recruitment and HR services company. He set up and managed Hays’ business process outsourcing centres in the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the UK. Selvadurai has been recognised for leadership in finance and accounting Outsourcing by FAO Today Magazine and was the recipient of the Market Maker 2007 award.
