SLASSCOM, the IT BPM industry chamber of Sri Lanka, pledges its support to the newly-elected Government and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
As the leading industry chamber representing a very young industry and a community of young and enthusiastic professionals, SLASSCOM looks forward to making Sri Lanka a competitive knowledge services hub.
SLASSCOM’s incumbent Chairman Jayantha De Silva reiterated SLASSCOM’s vision stating: “SLASSCOM’s vision by 2022 is to reach $ 5 billion in revenue, create 200,000 direct jobs and facilitate 1,000 startups. How Sri Lanka meets these challenges will depend on the new Government and the level of importance placed on these goals by it. SLASSCOM will support the Government in the formation of new policies and a clear consistent plan for the IT/BPM sector for the next 60 months.”
“The new Government comprising of many young professionals and the able leadership of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will no doubt exploit the enormous potential the IT BPM sector has in contributing to accelerated economic growth of our country,” Jayantha De Silva added.
