Committed to introducing the latest product and service innovations to its customers, Singer Sri Lanka recently announced that it had linked up with the world-renowned ASUS as its retail partner in the country. As such, Singer will be unveiling three exciting new ASUS ranges of notebook computers, which will complement the retailer’s existing lines of Singer-branded computers.

The three new ranges include the ASUS-Lamborghini VX7, the ASUS gaming notebooks, and the ASUS K Series, each of which is designed to appeal to specific segments of sophisticated computer users.  The result of a radical design collaboration between Asus, Intel, and Lamborghini, the VX7 is a marvel of design and engineering, boasting angles, trimmings, and luxury enhancements inspired by the iconic Lamborghini LP-640 Roadster. A look under the notebook’s hood reveals a thundering Intel Quad Core i7-2630QM “Sandy Bridge” processor, with 16GB DDR3 of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M graphics card with 1.5GB of video RAM.

The new 3D gaming notebook from ASUS, the ASUS G74Sx is targeted at hardcore gamers, with its blistering processor speeds and top-of-the-line NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M graphics card. Owners can plug their notebook directly into an external 3D HDTV display or enjoy the action on a spectacular built-in 17.3” display with 3D capability. With its unique thermal management system, which uses a pair of powerful fans to draw cool air into the front of the system and to blow hot air out the back, users can be sure that even when their game gets hot, their notebook will stay cool.

Designed for everyday users, the ASUS K Series provides proven reliability and increased energy efficiency. Capable of delivering up to 5 hours of non-stop computing on a 6-cell battery with its proprietary ASUS Super Hybrid Engine, the new K Series notebooks also incorporate 16:9 aspect ratio displays and world-class Altec Lansing speakers.

As one of the world’s top 3 consumer notebook vendors and the maker of the world’s best-selling and most award-winning motherboards, ASUS has blazed its way to a leadership position in the new digital era. Given its reputation for innovation and quality, it’s no surprise that ASUS won over 3,000 awards in 2010 alone and its global staff of more than 10,000, which includes an R&D team of 3,000 engineers, is dedicated to ensuring that the company is always pushing ahead.

This commitment to the highest product and service standards is shared by Singer, making it a perfect partner for ASUS. Noting that “Singer Sri Lanka is not only a household name but an internationally recognised franchise holder and now a newly appointed retail partner of ASUS International, which is extremely pleased to be associated with Singer due to its immense reach,” Albert Tung, Regional Director – South Asia, ASUS Technology Ltd., pointed out that, because of “the exponential expansion of Singer at a time when the Sri Lankan economy is growing,” ASUS is “proud to be partnered with Singer.”

Echoing Tung’s remarks, Singer Group CEO Asoka Pieris stressed the benefits that customers will receive from ASUS’s world-class products, stating that the partnership between the two companies “is based on our confidence in their market leadership and their ability to give our loyal customers great performance, convenience, and innovation.”

The new K Series notebooks will be available at any one of Singer’s more than 360 retail outlets island-wide while the ASUS-Lamborghini VX7 and the ASUS gaming notebooks can be purchased at any Singer MEGA store and at select Singer Plus locations. With 7 regional service centres, over 100 service franchise agents, and a reputation for trusted excellence, customers who pick up a powerful ASUS notebook can rest assured that their speedy new machine will be there for the long haul.
