Huawei Sri Lanka marks a turning point and strides ahead of competition to secure third place in the local smartphone market.

Singer Sri Lanka PLC, is exclusive distributor for the Huawei range of smartphones and devices in the country. Commenting in this regard, Singer Sri Lanka CEO Asoka Peiris said: “We are delighted that Huawei has been propelled to the number three position in the smartphone market in Sri Lanka within a very short period of time. We aim to strengthen the availability of Huawei devices in the country through our dealer network as well.”
The world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer, Huawei sold 16 million phones globally in the third quarter of 2012. Since the tie-up between Singer and Huawei mobile devices in Sri Lanka mid 2012, the brand’s popularity and sales witnessed an immense growth trajectory, occupying third place during the fourth quarter.
