Huawei Technologies Limited, one of the leading telecommunications corporations in the world has held the ‘South East Asia Core Partner Convention’ at their head office located at Shen Zhen city in China. Convention included 10 markets in South East Asia covering Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Maldives where over 25 companies participated representing their own markets.
Sierra Global Network Private Limited, leading telecommunication infrastructure development and managed services firm in Sri Lanka participated to the convention as a core partner of Huawei. “Sierra Global has been a strategic partner of Huawei since setting up their company in Sri Lanka, and we were the first company in Sri Lanka to be partnered with Huawei from their first project here which is Lanka Bell CDMA project. The convention has been a very good platform for us to build a network with core partners from other countries in the South East Asia region as well as to learn from their experience” said Dr. Arosha Fernando, Director / CEO of Sierra Global on his return from China.
At end of the convention, participants has visited a manufacturing plant of Huawei in Song Shanhu which is one of the largest telecommunication equipment manufacturing plants in the world.
