The Annual Science & Technology Fair 2015 organised by the Science Society of Lyceum International School Wattala will be held on 20 and 21 February at the school premises.
The Science Society of the school has based this year’s fair on the theme ‘Imagination through Creativity’ and students of the school have come up with innovative ideas and new methods of science.
This will definitely be a huge contribution to the field of science since it is said that for a world to develop, innovations always play a major role. This fair would be categorised into seven main areas such as home appliances, energy conservation, human safety, environment, health and nutrition, transportation, electronics. Discarded items were improvised to make a newly-designed dream car. Bio gas and a paper pulp project have been added to the Science Fair as new ongoing projects throughout the year, supervised by the school’s Science Coordinator Dr. Lakshman Nonis and his team. The best innovations will be selected by an esteemed panel of judges, from the Institute of Engineers, National Science Foundation and Ministry of Education. Famous personalities in the field of science will grace the occasion, and there will be panel sessions conducted by personnel on various topics.
