A number of officers in the Sri Lanka police force recently underwent a training program to enhance their capacity to combat cybercrime.
The initial Training of Trainers (ToT) program on Cybercrime First Responder for Law Enforcement was conducted recently from 4-8 November at the Sri Lanka Police College. Fifteen police officers including two Senior Gazetted Officers received their certificates at the conclusion of the program.
This program is a special training module included in the Global Action on Cybercrime (GLACY) project of the Council of Europe, with the preliminary objective of enhancing the capacity of law enforcement officers to combat cybercrime.
