Undergraduates at the Open University of Sri Lanka can now use eZ Cash to pay university and examination fees online; no credit or debit cards needed. Students can simply visit www.ou.ac.lk and log onto the MYOUSL account and select eZ Cash as the preferred payment method, to pay fees anytime, anywhere with absolute convenience and ease.

The Open University of Sri Lanka is the first local campus to join the country’s pioneering and largest mobile money network, as students using Dialog, Etisalat and Hutch mobile phones can register for eZ Cash to pay fees online.

The eZ Cash account is PIN protected, and also offers SMS authentication to provide users a safe and secure transaction platform with real-time accurate updates. There are no added charges for this facility. eZ Cash enables students to transact on the go, including payments for goods and services, mobile reloads, plus, send and receive money from 14 million customers on Dialog, Etisalat and Hutch mobile phones island wide.

Parents could also use eZ Cash to send money to students, by simply reloading the eZ Cash account with ease from their mobile phones. Students can top up eZ Cash accounts online or at any one of the 20,000 eZ Cash merchant outlets island wide and withdraw money at their convenience through these outlets or from any commercial bank ATMs displaying the eZ Cash Logo.

In June 2012, eZ Cash became Sri Lanka’s first mobile money service that permitted sending and receiving money under the aegis of the Payments and Settlements Act No 28 of 2005. eZ Cash, the world’s first inter-operable mobile money service, is the winner of the Global Award for Best Mobile Money Service at the Mobile World Congress in 2015.
