Orange IT partners INFOTEL 2016 as Gold Sponsor

Orange Information Technology has come forward to partner with INFOTEL 2016 as the Gold Sponsor.

Organised by the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS), INFOTEL is South Asia’s oldest and most prestigious Information and Communication Technology (ICT) exposition.

This year’s event is scheduled to be held from 11 to 13 November at the BMICH in Colombo, under the theme ‘Empowering Digital Citizens’.

Expressing his views on the tie-up, Orange IT Vice President Upendra Pieris observed: “As a leading Sri Lankan company, Orange IT has undertaken two national level commitments on behalf of the country, and is now working towards making them a reality. One is earning more valuable foreign exchange for the country and the other is generating more new employment opportunities for our youth, within a short span of five years, we generated 1,500 new job opportunities for young men and women. We are optimistic of doubling this number to reach a target of 3,000 next year (2017).’’
