A ‘Nenasala’ wisdom outlet complete with modern facilities will be set up at the country’s third ‘Abhimansala’ Wellness Resort for disabled war heroes, says the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA).
The new Nenasala will go a long way in providing IT knowledge and facilities to war heroes turned ‘differently-abled’ in their sacrifice for the country. ICTA is pleased to be instrumental in making this facility available to these war heroes on a par with all other citizens island-wide.
The third Abhimansala is scheduled to be launched by President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Pangolla in Ibbagamuwa in Kurunegala on 25 April.
Currently there are 765 Nenasalas set up island-wide under the 1,000 Nenasala project, based on a concept of President Mahinda Rajapaksa for taking the benefits of ICT to all.
The name Abhimansala means ‘an abode to live with pride’. It is a place for war heroes rendered ‘differently-abled’ by the war to regain their strengths and once again be a visible aspect of society.
‘Abhimansala 2’ was launched by the President on 10 December 2012 at Wilpitawatta, Kamburupitiya for South-resident disabled soldiers, while ‘Abhimansala 1’ was set up in Anuradhapura.
