NEC Asia Pacific’s launches FT Server, NEC HA eBox and Business PCs in Sri Lanka

NEC Asia Pacific, a leading IT and network solutions provider and systems integrator based in Singapore, and a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation, launched its total IT platform solutions to meet the growing IT needs of the country’s vibrant business environment. NEC’s also introduced its first concept showroom together with Finco Technologies at Galle Road, Colombo. NEC’s Fault-Tolerant (FT) Server, NEC HA eBox and NEC Business PCs (NEC VersaPro Type VB, VersaPro VH, VersaPro Ultralite VG) was introduced and showcased at the event in Sri Lanka. “FINCO Technologies will deliver further value-addition with its consultancy services, and guarantee reliable and timely maintenance through its support services,” said Senaka Weerasooria, Vice President, Information and Communications Technology Cluster, FINCO Group of Companies. NEC’s Fault-Tolerant (FT) Server is a series of Intel Architecture-based servers – NEC Express5800/ft enables continual operations through a hardware failure and delivers exceptional availability, which is made possible by using the Dual-Modular Redundancy architecture. The NEC Express5800/ft servers feature the GeminiEngine chipset, which was designed by NEC to control lockstep processing of the replicated main components and to further enhance overall system availability. NEC HA eBox is a combination of NEC’s NEC Express5800/T71e Servers together with ExpressCluster X software (NEC HA eBox), that delivers the highest level of “Continuous Availability”. Ensuring continual operations and business continuity with no down-time due to hardware or application failure, the NEC HA eBox boosts simplicity, comprehensive support and continuous approach while delivering up to 99.99% availability. NEC Business PCs including the VH, VG and VB series of NEC Business PCs are designed to provide the power-performance balance required by business professionals on the go. The NEC VersaPro Type VB, is a semi-ruggedised business PC with a water-resistant keyboard and a scratch-proof top panel surface, which is able to run multiple tasks at the same time. The NEC VersaPro VH is a 13.3-inch PC built with long battery life (min 10 to max 20 hours). Its long battery life and alpha-numeric keyboard makes it best for business environments.
