Metropolitan introduces new Acer and Canon products for dealers

Metropolitan Computers Ltd., the premier IT retailer for the world’s best brands and subsidiary of Sri Lanka’s foremost diversified conglomerate Metropolitan Group, unveiled an exciting new range of Acer and Canon products with an exclusive event at Taj Samudra Hotel for dealers recently. 

A large gathering including Acer and Canon resellers from across the country participated together with Senior Management from the Metropolitan Group who was also present on the occasion.

The event served to engage and orient resellers with the new Acer and Canon products, its unique selling propositions as world-renowned brands and enhance the strong relationship with existing partners.

Acer products showcased at the event included the Acer Aspire E5 series and the Acer Aspire V-Nitro. Built to entertain and designed to impress, the Acer Aspire E5 series includes higher specs over average laptops available in the similar range. The E5 series laptops come with a two-year warranty and 1TB Hard Drive. The different screen sizes and colorful options suit users varied lifestyles. The series has a dedicated graphics card of NVIDIA GeForce 920M.

Designed to rev up your life, the Acer Aspire V-Nitro ensures a powerful performance and astounding gaming experiences with superior specifications such as a 6th Gen HQ processor, 16GB RAM, SSD Drive, etc. supporting a sleek shape and uniquely textured exterior.

Canon entry level printers – Pixma IP 2870S and MG 2570S also were introduced at the event. These new printers support small to XL cartridges, allowing users to purchase the appropriate cartridge depending on their usage levels and can be used on any one of the machines. Cartridge replacement cost was one of the main concerns of the buyers, where they had to spend almost same amount as purchasing a new printer. 

The event also showcased Canon’s Maxify series, a new range of business inkjet printers designed to support the demands of small and home offices for high volume, colour printing. The new series guarantees a 50% lower cost per page at least.  For customers seeking professional quality colour printing as well as high-quality copying, scanning and faxing, the Maxify inkjet printer range controls costs, supports a connected office, loads up to 500 sheets of paper, offers high printer speeds and even monitors who prints and how much. The new pigment-based ink is highly resistant to water spills, marker ink and fading.
