Canon has been ranked as Sri Lanka’s best performer and best on-site support provider in the copier market in 2010, overtaking leading competitors and becoming the market leader in Sri Lanka, according to an international research body.
Kadence International Pvt. Ltd., an international research agency which implemented this study, said that in Sri Lanka, Canon copiers especially perform well on both machine performance and value for money, which are the two most important drivers to loyalty.
“Customers opt for Canon because of its good price and its low maintenance cost compared with competitors and now it leads in the market on machine reliability through its higher performances and high quality printing,” the Kadence International research report read.
This research was aimed at improving and updating customer understanding and position in the highly competitive Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) multi-function, networked, laser machine market in Sri Lanka.
Canon is a global leader in the copier market, and is rapidly adapting to the changing times to make 2010 the first year in a new era of growth and technology. Canon, together with its local distributor Metropolitan Office Pvt. Ltd., also launched the world’s only fourth generation IR Advanced series of copiers in Sri Lanka recently.
Metropolitan has been a pioneer and leader in the Sri Lankan office automation industry for over 52 years and has diversified into offering top of range workplace related infrastructure and products that drive Sri Lanka’s technology forward.
This survey was conducted in April to July 2010 with 161 face to face interviews. The study has analyzed the market based on customer loyalty, Customer satisfaction and repurchasing behavior of customers. It was mainly focused on which would yield the greatest satisfaction improvements in Sri Lanka.
The research has found that customer loyalty, customer satisfaction, likelihood to recommend and the repurchase behavior of the all multifunction printer brand users has declined significantly in 2010 when compared to 2009 including Canon.
As a giant brand in the world, it is obvious that “Canon” going to indicate impressive growth potential in the market While having a 81% of overall market satisfaction by the customers.
