MillenniumIT, a leading technology solutions provider and Microsoft License Specialist (LSP) announced the signing of a Microsoft Office 365 Enterprise Agreement with MAS Holdings – the largest licensing agreement of its kind in Sri Lanka. MAS Holdings will soon be able to take advantage of Microsoft’s cloud services to enable their global workforce of over 50,000 people to collaborate more efficiently, and at the same time reduce costs. Office 365 will not only allow MAS staff to be more mobile and work remotely, but also provide them with a secure way to collaborate with each other across over 40 locations, while supporting the ‘Bring Your Own Device’ concept for greater mobility. As a result of using this technology, MAS’ IT team no longer need to spend time managing complex upgrades and securing issues, which directly translates into time spent on more strategic projects. MillenniumIT said Executive VP Faiq Faiz: “We are very happy to be chosen by MAS Holdings for the country’s largest Microsoft Office 365 license agreement. This is testament to our high skill level in these technologies and our reputation for reliability in the market.” MAS Holdings CIO Jehan Mutaliph said: “We are very confident in our choice of ‘Microsoft License Specialist’. Through Microsoft Office 365 technology, MillenniumIT will help us realise our goal of ‘IT supporting business better’, enabling fast and agile commissioning of IT services globally. Not only will this enable our workforce to be mobile, but it will also enhance collaboration and information flow between our teams and offices, both locally and globally. This is really where the value is created.” Microsoft Country Manager Imran Vilcassim said: “Microsoft Sri Lanka is extremely honoured to have joined hands with the MAS Holdings Group through an Office 365 partnership. We believe that the Office 365 platform will truly complement MAS Holdings’ drive to reach greater heights through the global collaboration platform it offers, facilitating deeper employee engagement, customer reach and connectivity across the globe. “As we embark on this partnership with MAS Holdings together with MillenniumIT, the award winning Partner of Microsoft Sri Lanka, we see this as the beginning and firm commitment to drive a much deeper engagement, enabling technology to complement and transform MAS in its journey of conquering the corporate world. I have no doubt that through their wealth of experience and knowledge, MillenniumIT will ensure a smooth implementation. We are indeed proud to have partnered MillenniumIT in this great milestone.” For MillenniumIT’s award winning Microsoft team, this win follows one of the largest and most complex Lync deployments in the country at MAS, which replaced its existing telephony technology.
