London Stock Exchange Group PLC (LSEG) has extended the services it runs on Dialog’s International MPLS network to support Business Process Outsourcing services from WNS Global Services Pvt Ltd in Colombo to London.

The International MPLS (iMPLS) connectivity solution offered by Dialog Enterprise, the corporate solutions arm of premier mobile services provider Dialog Axiata PLC seamlessly connects London Stock Exchange’s premises in London, UK with their supplier WNS in Colombo extending the existing link with MillenniumIT in Malabe.

The iMPLS  solution, running on SEAMEWE3 and SMEMEWE4 between Colombo and London ensures consistently high performance standards for network up-time and latency with traffic auto re-routed to sustain connectivity in case of any under-sea cable failure. Metro Ethernet technology using optical fiber cable has been used for domestic last miles to ensure that the end to end redundant solution is maintained under strict service levels.

Rohantha Rodrigo, Chief Information Officer at MillenniumIT said “MillenniumIT is able to offer mission critical IT operational services from Colombo over Dialog’s network and this extension to WNS enables us to source business process services in Colombo too.  For this we need robust, cost effective connectivity from a supplier we can trust.  I am pleased to say that our relationship with Dialog Enterprise has been fruitful and pragmatic and the service is meeting our expectations for mission critical services.”

Speaking about the expansion Jeremy Huxtable, Chief Officer - Dialog Enterprise said, “We are pleased to be both the local and international connectivity provider LSE and solidify our position as a customized solutions provider to corporate customers.  Our seamless solutions leverage our extensive fiber network extended to customer premises and a robust international network which has activated capacity across all cable systems that land in Sri Lanka.  We continue to invest in our infrastructure in order to improve service levels including our new 4G-LTE (Long Term Evolution) fixed and mobile network. To further improve our international capability, Dialog has joined a consortium of telecom companies to lay a high speed under-sea cable called the Bay of Bengal Gateway that will connect Sri Lanka to the world by 2014.  The downstream benefits; such as cost efficiency, low latency and scalability will undoubtedly help to increase the competitiveness of enterprises such as LSE.”
