IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that APEX Adelchi Footwear Ltd. (AAFL), the largest shoe manufacturer, exporter and leading leather product retailer in Bangladesh, has deployed IFS Applications 8. The solution was rolled out to 174 retail stores in only 12 months and supports AAFL’s entire value chain, from manufacturing to retail. In 2012, following a thorough evaluation involving nine leading business software vendors , AAFL chose to implement IFS Applications to support its varied value chain. The solution, which covers retail, manufacturing, financials, distribution, and human resources, was subsequently implemented across the AAFL organisation, seamlessly integrating some 174 retail stores all over the country, in only 12 months. “We are pleased with the rapid deployment of the IFS solution, which helps us ensure a short time to value,” AAFL General Manager—Operations, Masood Nizam said. “By implementing a comprehensive business solution, we expect to leverage benefits in reducing our present stock level and at the same time improving the replenishment performance for over 15,000 SKUs in our country-wide retail stores. In IFS, we have found an IT partner that can deliver the right competence and functionality while keeping up with our growth.” “We are pleased to announce the successful implementation across AAFL’s diverse organisation,” stated IFS Bangladesh Director Asanga Marasinghe. “IFS has a long and proven track record of delivering best-practice industry solutions to retailers and manufacturers all over the world. We look forward to supporting AAFL’s continued growth in this very dynamic market.”
