The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Advance Business partner AS, Norway under the Sri Lanka-Norway Business Match Making Programme (BMMP) has organised to send an ICT delegation to Oslo, Norway. The delegation is scheduled to leave for Norway on 11 October 2011.
The BMMP which has been in operation since 1994 has been instrumental in considerable increase of exports to Norway over the last decade and a delegation to Norway has been an annual event in the BMMP calendar.
The objective of the programme is to establish sustainable and profitable joint ventures between Norwegian companies and counterparts in Sri Lanka. This is achieved through the development of business partnerships that foster transfer of technology, exchange of management, business and IT skills between the two countries.
The IT companies selected for participation in the delegation this year are AKLO Information Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd., Ascensor Partners (Pvt.) Ltd., Business Solution Systems (Pvt.) Ltd., Embla Software Innovation (Pvt.) Ltd, Eurocenter DDC Ltd., Exilesoft (Pvt.) Ltd., Four Corners Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd., John Keells Computer Services (JKCS), Mazarin, Sky Management Systems (Pvt.) Ltd. and Wakensys (Pvt.) Ltd. All arrangements for business meetings in Norway have been finalised by AB partners.
The BMMP organised this delegation in close collaboration with apex body for Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM). SLASSCOM has recognised this delegation as a national delegation. The delegation is funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Corporation (NORAD).
