Sri Lanka’s premier security electronics provider, Kay Jay Electronics (Pvt) Ltd. is getting ready to aggressively expand in the market with world class technology, partnerships and increasing consumer confidence.

Director and Joint Managing Director of Kay Jay Agencies, Kushal Johnpillai speaking to the Daily FT stated that the expansion plan will start off with the company forging partnership with world renowned Bosch Security Systems, Germany to deliver world class technologies to the local market. Signing on a sole dealership agreement for a range of Bosch cameras, the partnership would enable the local market to experience high quality products on an affordable scheme.

Johnpillai stated that the products which will be offered on KayJay’s pioneering rental module, will encompass 3-4 year comprehensive equipment guarantees, and most importantly offer both feasibility and practicality to the local sector. “A major percentage of surveillance cameras sold in Sri Lanka are Chinese products. These products malfunction after four- five months and the clients get hoodwinked in the process. Such issues bring a bad name to the industry and clients lose faith in the industry and its products. Also most companies do not offer back up services therefore taking all this into account the clients do not get value for money,” Johnpillai said.

Kay Jay’s exclusive range of Bosch security cameras will be available to the market in early July. Bosch known worldwide for its innovative high quality security and communication products offer quality second to none while the services offered by Kay Jay would create a platform beneficial for the customer. “Customer security is important to us. By replacing a large capital investment with small rental payments the customers can afford the most appropriate security system for the business.” Under the rental module offered by Kay Jay the overhead cost of installation is also included with the rental payment. “As the business gear can be added to the system on rent. There are several options available including 'upgrades' where the outstanding rentals are taken into a fresh lease agreement along with all the costs for the new equipment,” he noted.

“Our goal is to make certain that the required and most high-end security solution is made affordable to clients.” The tie up with Bosch would offer an unmatched choice and integrated approach with its state-of-the-art products and systems on its portfolio. Bosch Security Systems worldwide provides systems and components for a vast array of applications for the needs of residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, educational, public and transport oriented customer base.

Their product portfolio consists of Closed circuit television (CCTV) systems including state of the art IP- solutions, access control systems, intrusion detection and control, fire alarm systems, security management systems, Public Address/ Voice Evacuation systems, conference systems, paging and personal security systems and social alarm systems for the elderly and disabled. The partnership comes at a time when Bosch is looking at expanding its position in the Asia Pacific growth region. The company which established a positive growth in the region n 2010 where its sales increased 43% to 11 billion Euros, is expecting to climb the ladder further to 30% this year. Accordingly, Bosch will invest some 2 billion euros in Asia Pacific between 2011 and 2013. Therefore, the tie up would benefit both parties and consumers immensely.

By late August, Kay Jay will introduce a Central Monitoring System (CMS) which would revolutionise the local security industry. With man power (security guards) getting increasingly costly, managements of companies are now looking at reducing the number of guards and replacing them with surveillance cameras. “Also, to meet international security standards, certain BOI companies are constantly being pushed to put in place an electronic security system.”

Kay Jay Electronics (Pvt) Ltd is a subsidiary company of Kay Jay Security. “We mark our accomplishments through constant programmes of market research and developing turnkey security solutions that benefits clients, keeping the overall security cost affordable.” Providing services to Sri-Lanka’s top private and corporate establishments, Kay Jay is committed in introducing the best for the society.
