JKCS implemented Learning & Development Software (LDS) at Union Assurance recently. Being an on-line solution, LDS offers 60 different courses in all three languages to over 900 UA employees scattered across the island.
Most of the courses on LDS are designed to provide knowledge of different products and services offered by Union Assurance. Certain courses consist of self evaluation modules apart from learning materials.
In additional JKCS also introduced an e-library allowing UA employees to access self study material from anywhere. With LDS, examinations and assessments can be done and automatically directed to the respective trainer for review.
UA’s General Manager for IT Ruwan Bakmedeniya stated that: “The majority of users have expressed satisfaction with the solution developed by JKCS. LDS has several key features and modules which are unique to UA. Therefore the solution effectively addresses UA’s learning and assessment needs. We would use the same platform to provide enhanced learning facilities such as M-learning (Mobile based learning) and webinars in the future. With over 80% of our employees working on the field, UA is now able to guarantee the same level of education service delivery anywhere on the island, and with speed.”
JKCS’ Chief Operating Officer J.C. Ekanayaka commented: “Our goal is to develop cutting edge software that effectively addresses our clients’ business needs, whether those needs be pruning costs or enhancing their top line growth. We are pleased to note that LDS has succeeded in containing education service delivery costs at UA. Needless to say, we are delighted to be UA’s learning and development partner.”
